With her permission, I'd like to share a link to the blog of an online friend of mine: http://eatingcakeforbreakfast.blogspot.com/
This is the inspirational story of a woman dealing with infertility with dignity, courage, strength and a wicked sense of humour!
I hope you find her words as thought provoking as I do.

Children's world
I know you've been wondering how the children are doing, so I thought I'd do a mini profile on each of them for you.
Kiya
Kiya is in Yr 1 at school, and doing really well. We had Parent-Teacher interviews this week... Kiya is reading at a 9-10 year old level, and doing basically everything else at a Yr 3 level! Her teacher has been organising for her (and her equally bright best friend) to go next door two or three times a week next term to do Mathematics with the Yr 2 kids. We're really proud of her. She is doing beginner ballet once a week, and also is learning to play squash. Kiya loves ballet, and is getting into squash now that she can actually hit the ball about half the time.
Josiah
If anyone ever tells you that 2 years old is their favourite age for children, either they are delusional, lying or they don't have kids! Yes, you guessed it... Josiah is going through the very well named "Terrible Twos". When he isn't loosing the plot over nothing or beating up his little brother, he is a lovely (if a little stroppy) little boy. Josiah is wearing his glasses nearly all day, and is choosing to have them on which we are very pleased with. His vocabulary is growing every day, and Josiah is obviously doing a lot of listening because nearly every time he comes up with a new word it is as perfectly pronounced as a 2yo can do, and always used in context!
Xavier
Xavier is now 7 months old, and into everything! He's crawling (has been for about 6 weeks now), pulling himself up on furniture/walls/people, and cruising along quite confidently - one handed sometimes, to his Mummy's shock. Xavier is showing signs of wanting to walk... looks like he'll be on the go before he's one. He has just cut 3 teeth to make a total of 4, 2 top and 2 bottom, and he is babbling lots - heaps of "Bub-bub-bub" and random noises. We're trying, but no "Mum" or "Dad" yet!
